Need
Adoption of Integrated Management system is a step for business excellence, wherein the company opts to comply with more than one standard in an integrated way. Generally the integration is done of ISO 9001 standard with ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards. Such implementations demonstrate the commitment of the company towards the society at large while taking care of quality, environment and health and safety of their employees.
IMS brings a good amount of consistency in organizational resources and thus providing more opportunity for innovation and growth, thus adding to the cultural values of the company. The following benefits are seen:
- Improves the Management System effectiveness
- Integrates the policy deployment related with the standards
- Improves the internal organization effectiveness
- Improve the audit process and management review effectiveness
- Change the culture from specific approach to global approach
- Reduce trainings costs
- Reduce certification costs
To effectively achieve this objective we, at ICMQ India, believe that the Integrated Management System requirements must be interpreted according to more technically (and less paper based) approach tailored to specific manufacturing/service process and focused on product functional requirements, environmental impacts and impacts on human health and safety with a focus to also be compliant with the relevant applicable standards and legislations.
ICMQ India Approach
According to this awareness, since the 1980s, ICMQ has been developing a technical oriented approach customized to each relevant quality, environmental and safety impact for each product/process within construction industry based on:
- Tailored Check Lists

ICMQ India has been deploying this Technically oriented approach since the incorporation and has been deploying a strategy in compliance to Indian environment and safety laws and legislations and to obtain Indian accreditation for each type of activity within construction industry, wherever possible.
